Relationship Counselling

Relationship counselling offers individuals the opportunity to work with each other to improve how they relate to each other. This can be a very freeing experience which can provide a chance for people to break free from old patterns of behaviour.

Work will focus on identifying issues or problems in the relationship allowing for open discussion in a supportive and non-judgemental environment.

Relationship counselling covers a wide range of different relationships including monogamous, polyamorous, queer, intimate and platonic relationships, long distance, families and work.

At its core relationship can be described as any connection, both positive and negative, between people and as a result can be far reaching in its impact.

Healthy Relationships

Self-awareness is key!

Understanding what pushes you out of your comfort zone and how you react when you feel that way is important

Healthy Relationships

Communicate effectively!

Good communication skills, either verbal, physical or written are the foundation of a solid relationship. Being willing to change yourself rather than rely solely on someone else to fix the relationship is key

Healthy Relationships

Take responsibility!

Understanding and owning your own process is helpful. Taking responsibility for your own actions is far more helpful than reacting and blaming someone else

Healthy Relationships

Don't forget about Sex!

Sex is simply another form of communication and it can be the last thing to return when relationships have been difficult. Physical intimacy can be helpful for stress managements and reconnecting as well as expressing yourself in a carefree way

Healthy Relationships

Learn to let go!

Our behaviour can be based on past experiences. Recognising if when we feel out of sorts is either related to the here and now or to activated past memories can help us better manage the present
